Deplorable situation for shameful journalists as Vivek wins

Months back in time, we had our journalists raising their voice against the comedy actor Vivek for having stated – “Journalists are nothing but a piece of crap, who’ll write whatever a person asks to if they are provided with Biryani and a quarter bottle of alcohol”.
Having said that, he has proved that it was worth mentioning that statement as last evening our very own journalists stood as epitome of it…
The actor had hosted a press meet and our journalists made it a successful occasion for the sake of monetary complements that the actor offered them for being present.
The entire media world, especially with the cinema section is turning to be a pathetic scenario as everything goes on with money as there no proper reports.
The present situation of media reporting goes this way….
1. Pay a wholesome amount and get your faces printed on the cover and back page of any renowned magazines.
2. It’s worth illustrating this with a not-so successful actress who’s not even so glamorous or appealing to the viewers. But her photos have been continuously published over almost all the weekly Tamil magazines.
3. Those actors who had strongly used abusive words against the journalists are now paid more honor as they would die to click a photo with them.
4. Even a news about a small budget film has to appear over the newspaper, the journalist won’t accept the press release, even it is delivered without a ‘White Envelope’ that carries minimum of Rs.1500/-.
5. Incisively, there are certain web channels, which get paid to write good reviews even for a film that doesn’t run for more than a week. Just search for the movie review of S.A. Chandrasekhar’s ‘Pandayam’ in one of the renowned websites and you’ll feel the reason.
6. Even some of the journalists, who are self-urged to speak the truth and real facts are threatened that they wouldn’t be allowed to take part in any events if they speak about it to the celebrities.
Let’s hope the dawn of new aspiring journalists change this course of preexisting evils that deteriorates the self-esteem of journalism and its professional personnel.
