VTV PREMIERE A PRIVATE AFFAIR

The premiere of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa was held at the Sathyam Cinemas on February 25th, 2010. The premiere was a very private affair and only close associates of the film crew were allowed in. In fact, it was off limits even for the media. There are reports that Sun TV has exclusive over the VTV premiere and it would be telecast in that channel.

Those present at the event were Gautham Menon, Suriya, Jyothika, Trisha, Silambarasan, Udayanidhi Stalin, Krithika Stalin, Parthiban, Ramya Krishnan and others.

Sunaina goes to Sandalwood

She is from Andhra Pradesh. And she established herself as an actress in Tamil Nadu. Now, it is destination Karnataka for Sunaina, who has bagged a plum offer in Kannada, popularly known as Sandalwood.
The ‘Kadhalil Vizhunthen’ girl will be seen opposite ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh in a yet-to-be titled Kananda film which will go on floors soon. “I found my role interesting and accepted the offer without any hesitation,” she says.
In the meantime, Sunaina is eagerly expecting the release of her Tamil film ‘Yadhumagi’ which will hit screens in a week’s time. “I play Annam, an innocent village girl, who falls for a city boy (played by debutant Sachin). The story speaks a lot about love in a gripping way,” she says.
On her forthcoming projects, Sunaina says, “I am currently acting in three films- ‘Thiruthani’ with Bharath, ‘Kadhirvel’ with Ajmal and a movie by ‘Pasanga’ fame Pandiraj which has Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s grandson Arulnidhi in the lead.”

Santhanu’s next

‘Sakkarakatti’ sweet boy Santhanu Bagiyaraj is gearing up for his next project. IndiaGlitz digs out more:
Santhanu who is busy currently shooting ‘Aayiram Vilakku’ seems to have signed a movie with director K S Adhiyaman, who’s made movies like ‘Thoondil’ and ‘Swarnamukhi’.
After Thoondil’s mild response in the box office, K S Adhiyaman has worked on a youthful subject this time. From our sleuths we discover the essence of the movie- the hero woos a Rajasthani Girl and marries her. He goes to Rajasthan and faces a culture shock there. How he manages and mingles with the crowd forms the crux of the story.
K S Adhiyaman has directed a lot of movies in Bollywood. He would hope to make a mark in Kollywood now. IndiaGlitz wishes him all the best.

Ileana’s costume boon!

News from sources is that Ileana will land in Chennai on the 5th of March for a photo shoot with director Bhoopathy Pandian. She will be seen with Vikram, if everything goes well.
Meanwhile news from another source reveals that the sleek Ileana will walk the ramp for her mother’s designer creations. Ileana’s mother is apparently an avid designer and likes to launch her own collection. Ileana is set to wear her mother’s creations in a show that will be held in Goa, where she hails from.
It’s also heard that Ileana’s mother will design the costumes for Bhoopathy Pandian’s movie with out remuneration. This is a rare mom-daughter combo!

Aadhi’S Next Is ‘Kumbamela’

Two schedules are already over and yet there wasn’t any news about the film’s progress in shooting. Actor Aadhi had gained more offers in town and has almost completed filming couple of projects simultaneously. Months back, the actor had started ‘Ayyanar’ – a film based on mother-son sentiment. This time, he’s into the emotional story of father-son relationship with ‘Kumbamela’.The film is directed by Vijay Prakash and is produced by Michael Rayappan (early produced Sasikumar’s ‘Nadodigal’). Actress Poorna stars opposite Aadhi in female lead as a college student while yesteryear actors Ravichandran and K.R. Vijaya in prominent roles.‘Panneer Pushpangal’ fame Suresh dons a vital role and assure that it would be far powerful than his role in ‘ASAL’.According to the sources, the film was earlier titled as ‘Thiruvizha’ and due to some issues it was rechristened as ‘Kumbamela’. But director Vijaya Prakash states that even ‘Kumbamela’ is a tentative title and they may change the title if situation arises.
