A funny funeral is the unusual yet hilarious premise of director K Murali Mohan Rao's new movie "Daddy Cool" set to open in theaters on August 28.
At Goan Douglas Lazarus' funeral, nothing goes as planned. First of all, the wrong body is delivered to the ceremony! Then Lazarus' son Steven holds an awkward speech, and to finish, Lazarus' younger son refuses to take care of his widowed mother for the sake of his pet dogs!
The stars of the movie, Aftab Shivdasani, Tulip Joshi, Sunil Shetty and Aarti Chhabria all stepped out for Big Music's launch party held at Cinemax-Versova in Mumbai.
Tulip Joshi 's character, Maria, is the dead man's daughter who always fought with her father, Aftab Shivdasani plays Maria's fiancé Michael who takes a drug by mistake and starts acting emotional and delusional, Sunil Shetty personifies the oldest son Steven who after his embarrassing speech tries to negotiate peace between his wife and mother, and Aarti Chhabria plays Steven's wife who cannot wait to escape the family house now that the father-in-law is dead!
Sounds like a comedy to catch at the movies!
