The Rotary Club of Madras has conferred the lifetime achievement award (2009-10) to Padma Shri Dr. Kamal Haasan today (November 17th, 2009) for his outstanding contribution to the society through his films. The function began at 1 pm at the Taj Connemara Hotel, Chennai. The award was handed over to the Ulaganayagan by Rtn George Cherian, President of the Rotary Club. Those present at the venue were Rtn. Aditya Agarwal, Hony. Secy, Rtn, Vivek Harinarain. Director Vocational Service, Ms. Sudha Shivakumar, Mr. G. Ramkumar, and Mr. G. Thiagarajan.
