Madhavan: I don't know what really is 'male bonding'

3 IDIOTS is a little more than a month away from release and Madhavan, one of the 'idiots' in the film, is bubbling with excitement as the day comes closer. However, he finds himself in a fix when questioned if this Rajkumar Hirani directed flick takes 'male bonding' to a different level after DIL CHAHTA HAI and DOSTANA.
"I really don't know what these new words are", he smiles, "As far as I remember, during my college days these words never existed. It's a new trend - this phrase called 'male bonding', and I am still trying to understand it's real meaning. Someone has to enlighten me about that."

In 3 IDIOTS, Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi play college buddies. The film's plot revolves around a situation where Aamir Khan's character suddenly disappears and Madhavan along with Sharman begin a hunt for him. This is where they further re-discover each other, hence bringing in an insinuation of make bonding.
Laughs Madhavan, "So that's friendship naa! 3 IDIOTS is a story of three friends and their friendship so let's not bring on any intellectual sense of male bonding. Being friends sounds cool enough!"
Starring Kareena Kapoor as the female protagonist, 3 IDIOTS also features Hirani's favourite Boman Irani. This Vidhu Vinod Chopra production releases all over on 25th December 2009.
