Om Shanthi Om starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, with its chartbuster music scored by Vishal Shekhar became a cult hit, when the film was released a couple of years ago. The film’s music was numero uno at the International Box Office Chart. This film has now bagged the honor of being available in the UK on the Apple iTunes Video Store. According to Eros’s press release, this is the first ever full length Bollywood flick to be bestowed with the honor.
The press release reads, “Eros music label, has been distributing music tracks on the Apple iTunes Music Store for a number of years and these tracks regularly feature in the Top 50 of the iTunes World Music section. Indian film content consumers will now have the option to download film as well as music and it is hoped that the Apple iTunes platform will help introduce a whole new audience to Bollywood films.”
