Sonal Sehgal is the leading lady opposite Himesh Reshammiya in his upcoming release RADIO. For a film that promises some new age entertainment in the times of social networking sites and FM stations playing an integral part of an individual day to day activities, RADIO appears to be a contemporary and a real love story about today's couple. One asks Sonal if that's the best way to describe the film?"Yes indeed", Sonal comes with an immediate response, "The film indeed deals with problems in the contemporary world without getting too heavy on the mind. It keeps the entertainment factor in mind while catering to youngsters of today who are not just satisfied with love and money. In the film, the young woman who makes her debut as a leading lady, Sonal plays Himesh's ex-wife who keeps her friendship intact with her even after a divorce.
"See, our problems today are different from the kinds that our parents had. In fact why just them; look at the generation of 10 years back and we will see a difference", she adds, "Everybody has an individuality today and comes with his/her own choice. We keep meeting different people from all walks of life. Then there are these social networking sites that keep you hooked on to a virtual world. All of this adds up to problems amongst relationships."
With Shenaz Treasurywala as the other female lead in the film, RADIO directed by Ishaan Trivedi releases all over on 3rd December 2009.
