Arshad Warsi: Babban is quite 'kameena'

With every passing day, Arshad Warsi is becoming more and more fond of his character in upcoming release ISHQIYA. Called Babban, this character is not just hot-blooded and lustful but also scoffs at the idea of true romantic love. He being cynical only adds further edge to this character which Arshad loves to call as 'kameena'.
"Really, you haven't seen someone as kameena as Babban", laughs Arshad, "He is really smart and shaatir. You would assume that after being caught in a tricky situation, he won't be able to come out of a situation. However, he does eventually which makes him such a lovable rogue."

Arshad is also quite attached to the small town lingo that he adopted for ISHQIYA, something that makes one instantly remember Jagdeep's 'soorma bhopali' act.
"What Jagdeep saab did was a slight caricatured version", describes Arshad, "Yes, it did indeed suit the character and the time in which his films came. However, in today's time one can't become a caricature. Instead one has to speak like a normal person while bringing the character to life as well. You have to say things in a manner which do bring on a smile without loosing the authenticity and relevance of the character and the background."
