Ajay elated with target screening response to ATITHI...

Ajay Devgn has all the right reasons to be elated. His next release ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? is carrying good reports not just within the industry circles but now also amongst 'aam junta'. In a recent target screening done at Mumbai, this Ashwani Dhir directed comedy saw a 76% out and out positive response for itself.
Confirms Ajay Devgn who is going all out to promote this film where Konkona Senplays his wife with Paresh Rawal being the uninvited guest, "We were always quite confident about the film but such all around acceptance made us further assured that audience are still rooting for clean comedies. We showed the film recently to a set of people belonging to both class and mass audience. It was amazing to see 76% votes that stated that the film was either very good or excellent."

The trend of such target group screening has just started picking up steam. Two of the most notable instances have been TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and 3 IDIOTS. WhileAamir Khan heard quite a few suggestions coming his way for TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and was also said to have made certain changes to the final cut, in case of 3 IDIOTS (which was incidentally shown only till the interval), there was a roaring acceptance months before the actual promotion of the film started.
ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? is a screen adaptation of 'Tum Kab Jaaoge Atithi', a short story penned by noted satirist Late Sharad Joshi, for which adequate rights have been purchased. Produced by Amita Pathak, daughter of Ajay Devgn's close associate and friend Kumar Mangat, ATITHI TUM KAB JAAOGE? releases all over on 5th March.
