MY NAME IS KHAN Movie pirates raided

SS Branch and Mumbai Police along with AA Khan & Associates raided in Mumbai and seized over 3000 pirated DVDs and CDs worth around Rs. 4, 00,000.
The raid was conducted at Behram baug, in a godown near Bandra Court in Mumbai. Around 1000 Blank DVD's, 21 DVD writers, 1 colour Xerox machine and 1000 CD covers were seized at the location. The pirated CDs and DVDs included the much touted
Shah Rukh Khan - Kajol starrer MY NAME IS KHAN. The movie released on 12 February 2010.
STRIKER, THE WOLFMAN & LAW ABIDING CITIZEN were the other titles raided. As per the records around 3000 DVD's were already sold. The total amount of confiscated goods was around Rs. 4, 00, 000.

Says Mr. AA Khan, former IPS officer & Ex. ATS Chief, "Piracy is a serious offence and one which is rampant within major parts of the city. It has been noticed that major chunk of this happens before or during a big release. Considering the big release this time was Shah Rukh Khan starrer
MY NAME IS KHAN, any pirates attempting to copy or distribute this movie specially are on our radar for this week and the coming weeks that the movie would be running. Piracy of the recently released STRIKER is also on our list of probable. Pirates should understand that we have a zero tolerance for their actions and that they will be raided and prosecuted for the crime they commit.''
Shehnaaz Nasir Khan, Age 35, has been arrested during the raid. The accused was booked under sections 51, 52(A), 63, 68(A) of the Copyright Act of 1957.
In the last two months AA Khan & Associates was instrumental in raiding around 25 locations in Mumbai and seizing goods worth lakhs of rupees and helping the movie industry in curbing the menace of piracy to an extent.
