Priyanka Chopra: I am not a part of DOSTANA 2

Putting all speculations to rest, Priyanka Chopra has clarified once and for all that she is not a part of DOSTANA 2. Over the last few months, ever since it was announced that DOSTANA 2 was pretty much happening, there were murmurs around who would be the leading lady of this Tarun Mansukhani franchise that stars Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in the lead. While Priyanka Chopra was indeed a bright spot in this Karan Johar production, one wondered if the lady would return for DOSTANA 2 since she had already walked away with Bobby Deol in the original.

"No, I am not the leading lady of DOSTANA 2", Priyanka sets the record straight, hence diffusing yet another rumour, "My story had ended in DOSTANA and there was no point being paired with any of the boys (Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham) in the sequel. But yes, I will certainly be there in a special appearance and would return for a short while in the film as their friend."
Well, with this 'dostana' sticking around both on and off the screen, one looks forward to many more glamorous yet meaningful outings from this National Award winning lady who is certainly on a roll. In any case, Priyanka should be enjoying a rather busy 2010 in front of the camera, what with the shooting of ANJAANA ANJAANI currently on and a yet untitled Vishal Bharadwaj film along with DON 2 in her kitty.
