Venkat Prabhu to direct Silambarasan

With his recent release ‘Goa’ yielding lukewarm response at box office, Venkat Prabhu is all set to sign a big offer extended by Lingusamy.

Director Lingusamy had earlier roped Boopathy Pandian to direct Silambarasan under his banner of Tirupathi Brothers.Due to difference of opinions, Boopathy Pandian walked out of project and is likely reported to be replaced by Venkat Prabhu. It’s noteworthy that Venkat Prabhu has been sharing good rapport with Lingusamy ever since they worked together in Ajith Kumar’s ‘JI’ and now Simbhu had performed a cameo role in Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Goa’.
Since ‘Goa’ wasn’t a big hit, Lingusamy seems to have requested Venkat Prabhu to slash down his usual remuneration and the filmmaker has apparently agreed to the terms. Lingusamy will be making official announcements after the release of his upcoming film ‘Paiyya’.
