Abhay Deol is gung go about ROAD, MOVIEand that comes with a reason. After all he would be having a release to his name a little more than a year after DEV D hit the screens and fast gained a cult status for itself. Meanwhile, he wasn't resting as he travelled round the globe for the film festivals screening of ROAD, MOVIE. Now as this Dev Benegal directed film gets ready to regale the Indian audience, Abhay Deol can't help but be hopeful that ROAD, MOVIE is embraced with open arms.
"ROAD, MOVIE is very subtle in its humour and drama. However, the fact is that subtlety is not something that people lap up rather quickly", says Abhay who does admit that just like majority of films that he has done so far over last five years, even ROAD, MOVIE comes with a niche appeal.

However, while refraining from commenting much on the commercial aspects of ROAD, MOVIE, Abhay announces that the film is pretty much landmark cinema in the offering.
"ROAD, MOVIE is very different from DEV D, OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE or the other films that I have done. People will appreciate it for the kind of difference it is going to make to cinema. In fact if they don't catch it now then may be 10-15 years down the line, it would be considered as landmark movie. I am quite positive about that", says Abhay in the confident tone of a man who has carved his own niche in the industry.
Also starring Satish Kaushik, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Mohammed Faisal Usmani, Virendra Saxena and Yashpal Sharma in principal roles, ROAD, MOVIE is produced by Ross Katz & Susan B. Landau and is releasing all over on 5th March.
