A few days back it was reported that Arshad Warsi is all set to act as a central protagonist in the directorial debut of Bejoy Nambiar, erstwhile assistant to Mani Rathnam. Though the title is yet to be frozen, Arshad is happy to talk about the genre of the film.
"This is going to be a hardcore film about corruption which is prevalent in our society. In fact if you ask me to describe the genre of the film, it comes quite close to the likes of AB TAK CHAPPAN, SHIVA, YUVA or even my own ISHQIYA. It is going to be real life, stark, intense and won't really revel in cinematic liberties", says Arshad in an exciting tone.
Since Arshad has recently turned producer, would he be putting his money on this film as well. After all that would allow him to have certain quality control over the making, marketing and promotion of the film.CHECK OUT: Arhad Warsi wants to get serious Laughs Arshad, "Arrey yaar, right now I am completely broke after making HUM TUM AUR GHOST. Saara paisa wahin lag gaya. Currently there are some solo producers who have come together to make Bejoy's film. May be I will back it up but I would be able to make a decision around this at a later stage." This film by Bejoy narrates the tale of an out of job cop (played by Arshad) who is brought into a case when a few drunk rich kids run over pedestrians. The incidents don't just shock the nation but also snowball into something bigger in days to follow.
