Last Friday's two releases were the Amitabh Bachchan, Sir Ben Kingsley and Madhavan starrer TEEN PATTI and the Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone's KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK. While it was expected to be an even battle with KCK having the edge at the multiplexes, it turned out to be quite one sided in favour of KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK as TEEN PATTI failed to garner even a so-so opening. In comparison KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK had a decent weekend with the collections improving as the days progressed, though not exactly setting the box-office on fire. In the Overseas too, TEEN PATTI faced rejection grossing £14,645 from UK while KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK fared comparatively better grossing £61,969 from UK and $179,643 from US, during the opening weekend (26-28 February).
