A few years back, it was Akshay Kumar who agreed to work with a debutant director like Sajid Khan in HEYY BABYY. An established star with more than a decade and a half of acting experience behind him, Akshay was riding high on multiple successes before Sajid Khan came to him with HEYY BABYY, a comedy with a dollops of emotions embellished into it.
When released, HEYY BABYY had turned out to be Akshay's biggest hit till then and crossed 50 crores just in India. He went on to enjoy quite a few successful films after that with twin success of WELCOME (2007) and SINGH IS KINNG (2008) turning him into a superstar who was inches away from capturing the crown of Numero Uno. While successful films followed even after that with majority of them taking a huge opening, Akshay is looking forward to a major blockbuster today. With HOUSEFULL, can one expect Sajid to give a return gift to Akshay after HEYY BABYY?
CHECK OUT: Did Akshay take a pay cut for HOUSEFULL?
"I don't think that the success of HOUSEFULL needs to be perceived as a gift from either one of us to each other. We all coming together and working has a lot more to do with the kind of love and affection that we have for each other", says Sajid who is confident that the film will open to a humungous response at the box office.
"Why just Akshay? The same holds good with Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Ritiesh (Deshmukh) as well", adds Sajid when prodded on his friendship with Akshay, "I love these guys and they are my friends. Four of us are thick friends and we can be found at each other's houses. When we are not shooting, we all get together and eat food."
Well, one looks forward to the release of HOUSEFULL to see how big does it actually open at the box office. With this multi starrer being the biggest entertainer in the offering soon after the conclusion of IPL, one can well expect Bollywood starved audience to hop into theaters and watch this Sajid Nadiadwala production that has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and releases all over on 30th April.
