Imtiaz Ali: I have not said 'yes' to acting!

Very handsome and conventionally good looking in real life, top director Imtiaz Ali has it all to make it as a hero in Bollywood. The director of super hit movies like JAB WE MET and LOVE AAJ KAL has been getting numerous offers to play the lead roles from the directors of the caliber of Vishal Bhardwaj, but he has politely refused.
We recently heard that Imtiaz has said 'yes' to an acting offer. Knowing what Imtiaz Ali stands for, we were a bit surprised. The perfectionist believes in concentrating on one aspect of filmmaking at a time, so when we spoke to him about the acting offer that he had supposedly accepted, Imtiaz was surprised as well. He told us, "It is true that Vishal had offered me a role but I could not do it. As of this moment I have not given my consent to any offer as an actor. The day I do, I will let you (and others) know."
