Talk about aliens in a Hindi film and the first thing that comes to mind is whether the film would end up narrating a tale of super heroes and super powers. However, once an alien turns out to be a beautiful and gorgeous young woman like Jacqueline Fernandez, you know that the story would be taking an altogether different route.
CHECK OUT: How Jacqueline got elevated from 2nd to 1st lead...
Jumping from rooftops, dodging bullets, hopping across skyscrapers, taking up 200 baddies at a time and indulging into any dare devilry stunts was a complete no-no for the makers of JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI since the film belongs to romcom genre rather than action. As Milap and Co. started exploring various options, one factor which was quite clear was that audience would be told from Day One about the look and feel of the film with right expectations being set.
Reveals Milap Zaveri, debutant director of the film, who thought of quite a few ideas when it came to devising the character of Tara (Jackie), a girl from Venus who comes to Earth in search of love. "JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI is a love story rather than a superwoman story. So there was no point indulging in anything that would have made Jackie appear to be overtly larger than life. Yes, she is different in a lot of senses and hence there had to be something special attached to her. However, we didn't want anything too gimmicky about her behaviour or persona. This is what is being conveyed through the promos as well."
This is the pattern which has been followed right through the promotion of the film with the focus on romcom and music element rather than VFX and other razzmatazz which is generally associated with films that have an 'alien' element to it.
With music by Sajid Wajid and lyrics by Sameer, JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI is presented by Warner Bros and is a co-production of Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja. The film releases all over on 9th April 2010.
