‘Sarithiram’ from August 15

A release date has finally fixed for ‘Sarithiram’, a film that has been waiting to see the light of the day for a longtime now. Director of the movie Samy says plans are on to release ‘Sarithiram’ for Independence Day this year.
“The film is almost over but for some important scenes. All the lead players- Aadhi, Rajkiran and Sri Devika- have played their respective roles extremely well. The film, for all probability, would hit the screens by August 15,” he says.
In the meantime, Samy, the ‘Uyir’ and ‘Mirugam’ fame director, has started his next venture which would be released before ‘Sarithiram’. Titled ‘Sindhu Samaveli’, the film has two male leads- Harish and Gajini. Amala Paul from Mollywood is the heroine.
“It’s not a period film. A love story that talks about the present day youth, ‘Sindhu Samaveli’ will go on floors on March 25 and hit theatres by the end of June. Quite like my earlier movies, this one too will talk about the importance of women,” he says.
