Vadivelu to play 25 characters

Perhaps for the first time in the world, an actor will play 25 different characters in a multilingual film, to be reportedly made on a whopping budget of Rs 150 crore. The movie titled ‘Ulagam’ will be directed by Adham Bava, a close associate of an actor-politician and will have Vadivelu making the feat.
Without affecting his other commitments, Vadivelu has allocated 175 days for this comedy caper, which will be shot all over the world, apt to its title. About 10 actresses will share the screen space with the comedian in this movie, it is said.
Plans are on to rope in Hollywood make-up specialists and computer graphics technicians, since the makers don’t want to compromise on quality. The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, we learn.
It is also said attempts will be made to occupy a place in the Guinness book of world records, since the film will have many first-of-its-kind experiments, including an actor playing 25 characters. “You will come to know other things after an official announcement,” sources say.
