Very few actors in the film industry are honest and open in expressing their views. And Boman Irani is among them. Boman Irani, who plays a doting & caring Abba (father) to Minissha Lamba in Shyam Benegal's upcoming film WELL DONE ABBA, reveals that he was quite apprehensive about Minissha playing the part in the film.
CHECK OUT: WELL DONE ABBA was an educative trip
"Yeah that's true. Initially I thought Minissha won't look the part, she doesn't fit the bill. It did worry me, but in due course of time I realized that no one else would have played this part that well as Minissha did it. And I am not saying just for the heck of it, I actually mean it. The way she got into her character, her look, her hard work and also the way two of us gelled as father & daughter, I am extremely happy with the way she has performed. It's a very spirited performance, one with lot of fire and sweetness to it. The moment she & I got together there was certain warmth and I feel that's lovely mix she's brought to the father-daughter relationship in the film. The amount of energy levels & enthusiasm she possesses is terrific."
Looks like this Abba (Boman Irani) is proud enough of his daughter's (Minissha Lamba) performance!
A Reliance Big Pictures production, WELL DONE ABBA hits the screens worldwide on 26th March 2010.
