Doing things in a different way has become a habit for popular publicity designer Siddharth, who has taken the avatar of a director with ‘Bale Pandiya’. At the audio launch function of the film in Chennai Sunday, he brought smile on many a face with his novel ideas.
In what could be called as a contrast to the tradition, the filmmaker invited 18 of his unit members (people who help in production activities) to hand over the audio CDs to celebrities on stage, in an attempt to honour them for their contribution to the movie.
Then came a session to honour singers, when 14 popular playback singers performed live on stage to the tunes composed by their good friend Devan Ekambaram, who is the music director of ‘Bale Pandiya’.
There were also interesting speeches from the invitees including lyricists Vaali and Thamarai, Tamil Film Producers Council Rama Narayanan, actor-director R Parthiban, directors S P Jananathan, ‘Jayam’ Raja, Chimbu Devan and Vijay among others.
Produced by Kalpathi S Agoram for AGS Entertainment, ‘Bale Pandiya’, a full-length comedy movie, has Vishnu of ‘Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu’ fame and Piya Bajpai in lead roles. The film will hit the screens soon.
