Madrasapattinam – ‘Kireedom’ fame Vijay seems to be vividly influenced by his mentor Priyadarshan. Much alike his ‘Kanchivaram’, the young filmmaker too gears up for a period film set against the backdrops of ancient Chennai during pre-independence era. The film features Aarya, British girl Amy Jackson donning lead roles.
Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam – Director Chimbu Devan had much earlier proved off his adeptness with classical hits ‘Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi’ and ‘Arai En 305il Kadavul’. This time, he has picked yet another flamboyant tale of cowboy. Featuring choreographer-filmmaker-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence, Padmapriya, Lakshmi Priya and Sandhya in lead roles, the film has a musical score by G.V Prakash. IKMS is slated to hit screens by end of this month.
Rettaisuzhi – Directed by Thamira, the film brings the ace veterans K. Balachandar and Bharathiraja together for the first time. Reported to be a wholesome family entertainer, the film touched the farthest extent of public glare as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan released the film’s music. Since, kids are expected to have performed vital roles in this flick; Thamira assures that it will be a delighting treat to these Children for this summer.
Anantha Purathu Veedu – Shankar’s ability to experiment on various genres keeps him right on the top of world. Glimpse through his previous productions and there would be vast differences in every genre he chooses. When his other production ‘Rettaisuzhi’ is reported to offer pleasant entertainment to audiences, ‘Anantha Purathu Veedu’ is sure to chill everyone’s spines as director Naga of ‘Marmadesam’ wields megaphone. The film features Nandha and Chaya Singh in lead roles and is slated for release by next month.When these films with exceptional storylines are gearing up for releases, other set of mainstream flicks – Vijay’s ‘Sura’, Suriya starrer ‘Singam’, ‘Jeyam’ Ravi’s ‘Thillalangadi’ and many more are getting ready for a grand opening across all centres.On the dot, it’s gonna be a fantastic thing to lookout for such big releases that are anticipated to savor our tastes….
