In the Bollywood blockbuster ‘My Name Is Khan’ SRK meets the president, but ‘Jhing Chik Jhing’ goes further.
Through this film, eminent agriculturist Dr. Vandana Shiva will be supporting the plight of the farmers. The director also plans to take the film to rural areas and screen it there. "If I could bring about a small difference to the lives of the farmers, it would be great," he adds
Based on the rising number of farmer suicides, ‘Jhing Chik Jhing’ is one such film which strives to depict this issue in a sensitive manner. Shishir Kulkarni, Shirish Raut, Harini Kalamur and Pushpank Gawade has produced the film under the banner of Cogito Entertainment.

"Jhing Chik Jhing stands out differently from other films on the same subject because it inspires the viewer to take a progressive and sustainable path. I have consciously tried not to make a capitalize on the issue. Along with farmers consumers also should be encouraged to trade organic path. The film addresses both the worlds."
