RGV’S ‘Bommai’ Costed Rs 3.5Lakhs

A Doll doesn’t seem to be an important prop in any films, but when it comes to Ram Gopal Varma, he makes sure that it is at best. Dolls are meant to be special when an auteur makes a horror film and ‘Bommai-2’ isn’t an exception.Remember watching a scary crow in the first part – Bhommayee and now it’s gonna be replaced by a doll in the sequel. Says filmmaker Milind Gadagkar: ‘Yes, the doll has replaced the crow as the prop in Phoonk (Hindi version of ‘Bommai’). The doll specially created by Ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye costed nearly 3.5Lakhs and took more than 2 months to design….’The film is produced by Ram Gopal Varma and is directed by his close associate Milind Gadagkar, who had earlier penned script for the first part. The film is hitting screens today simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu….
