Aamir Khan and musician A R Rahman were conferred Padma Bhushan award a few days back, the next set of Padma awards was presented to the nation's finest talent by President Pratibha Patil recently at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.Veteran actor & the most gorgeous lady of Bollywood Rekha and actor Saif Ali Khan, who came along with beloved Kareena Kapoor, were conferred Padma Shri for their contribution to Indian film industry. Others who won the coveted award include sound technician and Oscar award winner Resul Pookutty, Prominent south Indian theatre personality Arundhati Nag, boxer Vijender Singh, ace car racer Narain Karthikeyan.
Popular music composer Ilaiyaraaja was honoured with Padam Bhushan. NRI hotelier Sant Singh Chatwal, top businessman Vindi Banga also bagged Padma Bhushan award.
