Sajid: How can I not be friendly with Shirish?

Though Sajid Khan's sister Farah Khan is married to Shirish Kunder, there have been speculations galore around stressed relationships between the two men. While both Sajid and Shirish have maintained a cordial personal relationship with each other, rumours have floated in the past about assumed tension between the two film makers who have one movie each to their credit - HEYY BABYY and JAAN-E-MANN respectively.

On questioned if he shares a good personal rapport with Shirish, considering the fact that B-town believes that Shirish and he aren't really friends with each other, Sajid said, "But how can I not be friendly with him; after all he is my sister's husband? Obviously in a relationship like this, there is a certain line to be drawn. Both Shirish and I understand and appreciate this fact and adhere to it."
In fact Sajid goes on to appreciate Shirish's professional standing in the industry as well and wishes him luck for his debut production TEES MAAR KHAN. He says, "Shirish is extremely gifted as a writer and director. No one can deny that JAAN-E-MANN was an extremely well directed affair. It was well mounted too and may be if it was not released on the same day as DON, it would have done a business of at least 10 crores more. That would have made it a hit venture at the box office. I am sure with TEES MAAR KHAN, he will do quite well as a producer."
