Sridevi: Auction time

Sridevi is not just an artiste, but an artist too. A painting made by the yesteryear heartthrob will be sold at Christie's for charity and the proceeds for the work will benefit Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth.
Auction for the art titled ‘Thoughts', which is due on May 6, will open at $25,000 and is expected to fetch anything between $40,000 and $50,000, according to the actress’s husband Boney Kapoor, who is a popular producer in Bollywood.
Sridevi’s family is also planning to hold an exhibition of her paintings in Mumbai within the next few months. “It's her passion and an exhibition will give her a good platform. We will select 25-30 paintings for the event,” Boney Kapoor adds.
‘Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth,' an initiative by Christie’s to protect the earth from global warming and other environmental threats, also has the support of international personalities such as Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.
