Simbhu's 'Vaanam’ Is Hollywood Inspiration

Telugu filmmaker Krish aka Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi has been vividly inspired from Hollywood movies and made an excellent adaptation for Tollywood. His award winning film ‘Gamyam’ was inspired by ‘Motorcycle Diaries’, which was late remade in Tamil as ‘Kadhalna Summa Illa’.
The auteur’s recent release ‘Vedam’ was ennobled as a trendsetting movie in the pages of Telugu film industry and instantly is being remade in Tamil as ‘Vaanam’.
Let’s not drag it with the well-known star-casts and crewmembers, the proceedings of shooting schedules.
If ‘Vaanam’ is about 5 different characters and their lives coinciding on December 31, Hollywood’s ‘Powder Blue’ was about lives of 4 characters getting transformed on Christmas Eve.
The Hollywood films revolve around a sleazy owner of strip club, a transsexual sex-worker, A honest head of corporate crime organization and a suicidal ex-priest.
Just as the film’s tagline conveys ‘Every life has a breaking point’, the complete plot travels on the same theme.
