KURBAAN is touted to be an intense film with a contemporary theme to it. Considering this fact, was a backless shot for the publicity poster really required? Wasn't any other means to showcase what KURBAAN is all about thought of?
'On the contrary this shot of me in a backless posture and Saif with a wound on his chest tells so much about the film's theme', defends Kareena, 'There is love, passion and violence - all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still. You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D'Silva (director), that's the least one could have expected.'
KURBAAN is one of those meaningful commercial cinemas that Kareena is proud to have been a part of. Visibly delighted about the prospects of audiences seeing her in a different light after this film, Kareena announces that the film would make everyone stand up and notice.
