Finally, Shahid Kapoor has got a female lead for his upcoming film MAUSAM that will be directed by dad Pankaj Kapur.
According to sources Sonam was selected after the producers and the filmmakers failed to narrow down on any auditioned girls that included some of the well known names like Shatrughn Sinha's daughter Sonakshi Sinha and ROCKET SINGH fameShazahn Padamsee.
Finally, Sonam Kapoor was thought to fit the bill. Now, Sonam Kapoor will be seen playing the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film. The film is expected on go on the floors in June this year.
