Introducing - The 'surprise star' of HOUSEFULL

For a highlight sequence in HOUSEFULL, Akshay Kumar gets all troubled due to a character which snatches Deepika's mobile and runs away. In the incidents that follow, Akshay gets all beaten up by this character; so much so that there are multiple slaps that he ends up receiving with tell tale marks all over his face. While Akshay was sport enough to live with the on-screen humiliation, all for the sake of his audience and the fun that the sequence promised, it seemed that this character had other ideas. He wanted to give that 'perfect take' and the makers of HOUSEFULL had no choice but to give in to the demand.
So what was the issue here? Well, this character was none other than a monkey, which ensured that Akshay Kumar and Co. had an experience which was one of its own kinds.
CHECK OUT: HOUSEFULL - A gift for Akshay Kumar?
"Can you imagine that for this single sequence in the film where the monkey is required to snatch a mobile and run away, he had to be trained for full 15 days. Not just that, he also came with an entire entourage", director Sajid can't help but continue to be amused with the turn of events, "He had a trainer who spent hours with him to make him understand how the scene had to be performed. Then there was this man who took care of his diet while another was there for his well being during his entire stay with the cast and crew. And then of course there was someone who was handling his date diary. Really, the kind of attention that the monkey demanded, I could have perhaps afforded to have another Bollywood star in my film."
He goes on to add, "The entire sequence has been designed keeping kids in mind. Since HOUSEFULL is a family entertainer, episodes like these are bound to bring a smile on face."
