CHECK OUT: Priyanka Chopra says no to Hollywood
Given the kind of acclaim that she has earning for herself year after year, has she pretty much made up her mind that she would continue to present herself as a package deal of class and mass? It pretty much appears to be the case as she is working in films like ANJAANA ANJAANI and DON sequel with as much aplomb as a FASHION and KAMINEY?
"In fact that has always been a conscious effort throughout my career", agrees Priyanka who is clearly applying the 'mantra' of being versatile in each of her films, "I am fortunate enough to be enjoying films like Siddharth Anand's ANJAANA ANJAANI with Ranbir Kapoor on one hand and Vishalji's (Bhardwaj) next on another. Thankfully, it's all working out quite well."
For someone who has been around in the industry for so long now, an actor is expected to know very well in advance that whether a film of hers would get bouquets or brickbats.
"Actually not at all", denies Priyanka, "I have done a lot of films in a short span of time and have just not stopped to think much. Due to this I tend to loose objectivity around my work that whether it would fetch me awards or not. Yes, it is indeed an amazing feeling when you get it but as an individual I have never been too sure or formed an opinion about my work. These are all subjective matters and I am completely calm when I do films. It is only at a later stage where I observe the kind of reactions that I end up getting."
