Mukta Arts Ltd and Ikkon Pictures, RIGHT YAA WRONG, starring the odd pair of macho man Sunny Deol and intelligent actor Irfaan Khan, along with National Award winning actress Konkona Sen Sharma, was hailed as a casting coup when it was announced. But several unfortunate delays cut short the hype which should have preceded the film and so when it finally released last Friday (without adequate promotion) there was not much anticipation or buzz around the film.
However, for the countless fans of Sunny Paaji, it is a cause of much celebration and joy that the film has come in for much praise and that too from all sections of the print and electronic media. The critics, for once, have been very kind to the film with even the harshest of them showing their appreciation for Sunny Deol's subdued and mellow acting.
CHECK OUT: RIGHT YAAA WRONG - Movie Rreview
The macho man has proved beyond doubt that he is a refined actor and is not all about shouting, an image that he got stuck with since GADAR and DAMINI. But people forget that even GADAR was a beautiful, heart touching love story, which showcased Sunny's varied shades of brilliant acting.
His last two films APNE and HEROES too were a testimony to the fact that actors like Sunny Deol are a rarity and the film industry needs to tap his potential to the fullest because it's not everyday that we come across a macho hunk like Sunny who with his facial expression can convey vulnerability as well aggressiveness and power.
Here's hoping that the audience now gives its thumbs-up to RIGHT YAA WRONG, and hopefully things will get right this time for Sunny.
