Shahid Kapoor: I have never held any regret

Shahid Kapoor doesn't believe in looking back and regretting doing any film in the past. Instead, he lives the philosophy of picking up a project only after he is 100% convinced and then entirely commit himself to the film from start till finish. Its eventual fate may be on the lines of the box office performance of a CHANCE PE DANCE or get delayed like PAATHSHALA. However, he never believes in holding any grudge.
"Beyond a point I don't think much about the failure of a movie as far as taking it to my heart is concerned. It's best to learn from your experience and move on. I am happy to give a film my best shot but I don't hold any regret if I don't succeed. In fact I have never regretted doing any of my films", says Shahid who has enjoyed a decent success rate after working in more than a dozen odd films.

"I truly believe that audiences are always right", observes Shahid, "In an unpredictable business of making movies, the best way to deal with success or failure is to just follow audience feedback".
Meanwhile, he is quite pleased that PAATHSHAALA is all set for 16th April release. The first look of the film was revealed more than a year ago with KARZZZZ. It was expected that the film would release in January 2009, but it continued to be move ahead. Directed by award-winning Marathi film director Milind Ukey, PAATHSHALA is now finally arriving on 16th April.
"It's a very socially relevant film and talks about the education system in the country. I am really happy to have played a role in it", says Shahid in a genuine tone.
Other than Ayesha Takia, who was last seen in WANTED, PAATHSHALA also stars Nana Patekar along with child artists Swini Khara, Ali Haji, Dwij Yadav and last but not the least one Avika Gor (of telly soap 'Balika Vadhu' fame).
