He is not just the most recognizable face when compared to his counterpart directors; he is also controversy's favourite child as far as scoop-a-month is concerned. Given the fact that he has always done what he has wished to do and never worried about the tag of 'big mouth' that continues to follow him year after year, Sajid Khan has continued working at a relentless pace without being bogged down. No wonder, he has gone on record to state that he is not at all worried about how critics respond to his second directorial outing HOUSEFULL and instead wants to gauge only the reaction of his audience.
CHECK OUT: I am just a 2% director
"The matter of the fact is that critics don't have to tell me whether my film is good or not. It is the job of the audience and they would decide if HOUSEFULL works for them", says Sajid in a confident tone, "Also, one thing that I can state on record is that critics may give a 1 star or a 5 star rating to HOUSEFULL but in their hearts they would like the film for sure. Same holds good for audiences who will anyways venture into theaters to watch HOUSEFULL multiple times regardless of the review ratings."
Ask him to name these critics and he just gives a hint. "I will give you an example where a critic gave 3 stars to both ALADIN and 3 IDIOTS. Are you telling me that the biggest flop and hit ever in the history of Indian cinema are alike in the way they were created? See, there have been so many instances when such critics have given a single star to films which go on to become biggest hits of the year while the movies on which 4-5 star ratings are showered have been such resounding flops."
