Just like any thinking woman, Sandhya Mridul has a bone to pick with men.
Sandhya has got into this fiery mode especially after working on her forthcoming film, THE GREAT INDIAN BUTTERFLY, directed by Sarthak Dasgupta. Sandhya plays an urban woman and wife to Aamir Bashir in the film and the couple is constantly at each other's throats. The hustle bustle and stress of working life take a toll on their marital life, sex included. Sandhya adds that trouble brews when men start taking their work to bed and expect women to take care of the household singlehandedly. And, even though marriage is not on cards yet, Sandhya is sure about the fact that that is not how it would be for her when she does get married, and she wouldn't take it the same way if her husband turns out the way her on screen in TGIB.
She owes the same phenomenon to the fact that more and more women are now marrying foreigners as they lend a helping hand to women when it comes to household chores. Finally, Sandhya adds that she is not against men and acknowledges that they are a necessity, something every woman realizes at some point or the other after getting married. As far as marital woes are concerned, there is no such thing as shortcut or a quick fix. The actress is just happy the way she is right now and wouldn't want to spoil it. Of course, we will wait till the tide turns and Sandhya finds her Mr. Perfect.
THE GREAT INDIAN BUTTERFLY is releasing on 26th March 2010.
