‘Raavan’ cuts Govinda, Sonu to size

Beware, folks ‘Raavan’ evil acts are on. The ten headed villain has started his villainy and his first victims are actor Govinda and singer Sonu Nigam.
Yup, Mani Ratnam’s epic ‘Raavan’ which is said to be based on Ramayana is already having it evil ways. It’s been heard that Govinda whose role draws similarity with Hanuman has been chopped considerably and it has ended as a cameo. Hmmmmm... Now we come to know why Chi Chi bhaiya was missing from the audio launch when every one from the cast and crew was present.
According to sources, Govinda got the invite at the last moment and by that time he has already committed himself for a family pooja. The entertainer is not happy with the chopping of his scenes.
But that’s not all; the ire of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’ has resulted in slashing of Sonu Nigam’s song from the film. Sonu recorded a song for the film which brings together the magical combination of Mani Ratnam, Rehman and Gulzar. But the singer was shocked to see his song no where in the credit list of the films audio CD. In fact he has being heard saying that he came to know about the music launch through media reports as he didn’t received any invitation.
Now that’s what you called Raavan’s’ slashing effect.
