This ‘Heroine’ proved costly indeed…

When it comes to perfection our filmmakers are not the ones who would go for compromise. And when it is Madhur Bhandarkar, you know he’ll stop at nothing.
The National Award winning director was in news for his next project, based on Marilyn Monroe, where Kareena Kapoor plays the main role. For this one, Bhandarkar had been on a title hunt.
Now known for his usual ‘small is sweet’ policy, the filmmaker was interested to use a one-word title for this one as well. He had chosen ‘Heroine’ for the film, but unfortunately the title was already registered by director Guddu Dhanoa.
But that didn’t worry Bhandarkar, because Guddu is said to share good rapport with him. Bhandarkar then donated Rs. one lakh to Dhanoa's charity and bagged the title instead.
Making charity and work go hand-in-hand uh?
