‘Vande Matharam’ rich on realism

‘Vande Matharam’ is one of the most watched out movie of this year. It is a big-budget bilingual movie made in Malayalam and Tamil.
The movie is produced and scripted by Henry and is in its final stages of production. Mega star Mammootty and action king Arjun play the important roles in both versions.
Mammootty plays an Intelligence Officer and Arjun plays a Superintendent of Police. Sneha is the heroine and plays the role of a pilot. Shradha plays Arjun’s love interest and is an ornithologist in the film.
The story of ‘Vande Matharam’is about an international terrorist organisation that infiltrates the country. The story also touches the plight of Indian farmers and gives a national colour to it.
Director T. Aravind who has done some Tamil films like ‘Aravindan’ and ‘Agaram’ is exited to do this multi starrer and asserts the movie will be different. He says it has all the box office ingredients and a credible story to boot.
Music is by Vidyasagar and the songs are written by Pa Vijay, Vairamuthu and Yugabarathi.
Producer Henry is a veteran in his domain who has made memorable movies in Tamil like ‘Kolangal,’ ‘Bharathi Kannamma,’ ‘Puthumai Pithan,’ ‘Marumalarchi,’ ‘Kallalagar,’ ‘Kannukku Kannaka.’ Given the credentials you can expect even ‘Vande Matharam’ to be a socially conscious entertainer.
