Vikram Bhatt: Aditya is a superstar in the making
"I believe Aditya was always just the right face for SHAAPIT. He was the first and only choice and even after the release of the film, I am very positive about his future. In fact I am surprised when you say that some people have questioned Aditya's talent. That's because from what I have heard ever since the release of the film, he has been appreciated by majority of critics as well as people from the audience. An extremely bright boy, he is a superstar in the making. Moreover, he is a very good singer as well and hence a great package", Vikram talks fondly about his discovery.
CHECK OUT: I will give love a chance
There is also a slight buzz in the industry that it was Udit Narayan's influence that helped Aditya bag SHAAPIT.
"No, that's not true at all", negates Vikram who is fast seeing the crown of 'newcomers' messiah' being bestowed upon him, "Udit Narayan had nothing to with the casting decision for SHAAPIT. Of course since Aditya is his son and I know him (Udit) for decades, I approached him before signing Aditya. But beyond that, there was no interference or influence whatsoever from Udit."
Dubbing woes for Jacqueline Fernandez
CHECK OUT: Jacqueline proves the adage of 'Aasmaan Se Tapka' right
"It was an alien situation out there", laughs Jackie who is playing the role of an alien from Venus in this romantic comedy, "I am new to Hindi and this is why I was relieved when someone else dubbed for me in my debut flick ALADIN. For obvious reasons, I was always under the impression that same would be repeated in JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI as well since my Hindi still hadn't reached perfection while I was shooting for the film."
As task was set out for her and in all seriousness, Jackie ended up spending some time to get at least bare minimum finesse in the dubbing room.
"In all seriousness, I sat down, took a deep breath and took some time off to pull up my socks. Thankfully, due to a wonderful crew and especially my co-star and friend Sonal Sehgal, I started feeling much better after every scene. Yes, it all went well eventually but honestly, if I look back at the shoot of JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI AAYI, it was dubbing which was the most challenging piece of work than whatever else that I did for the film", says Jackie with a sign of relief.
JAANE KAHAN SE AAYI HAI is presented by Warner Bros and is a co-production of Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja. The film releases all over on 9th April.
Aamir Khan's dedication is exemplary
Says script writer Rajesh Khattar who had to ensure that everyone participating in the show got a right platform for himself/herself, "It was amazing to say the least. It was lots of fun too to interact with so many stars and to write keeping their natural style & comfort zone in mind. Of course this can be quite challenging as well as exhilarating. Yes, I have worked with a few of the stars earlier as an actor but scripting this show gave me an opportunity to work with a few of them, like Aamir and John (Abraham) for the first time."
CHECK OUT: Aamir Khan even auditions directors
Elaborating on his experience of working with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Khattar reveals, "To say that it was wonderful would be to state the obvious. He is quite thorough in whatever he does and this show was no different. His dedication to his work is exemplary. Not only does he ensures high quality output himself, he also motivates everyone around him to excel. Even John was a big sport and did his bit with aplomb. In fact he is definitely going to surprise a lot of people with his anchoring this time around."
Regarding his stint as an actor, Khattar has a lot to look forward to as well. "Yes, there are quite a few films lined up starting with PRINCE in a few days from now. Then there is Jag Mundhra's CHASE, Studio18's ISHQ UNPLUGGED and Sagar Ballery's (BHEJA FRY) next. Also, I am starting to shoot an Indo Spanish project next month and another one produced by an actor friend. So yes, there is a lot happening out there."

Salman Khan’s Yet Another Generosity
First while shooting the tricky bare-bodied climactic combat scene in Wai for Dabangg, Salman personally supervised his screen-adversary Sonu Sood’s torso tanning. And now when Sonu Sood fractured his nose while shooting, Salman helped him.It happened so, Salman and his co-star in Dabangg, Sonu Sood were shooting a fight scene that is a part of the climax. During the practice, one of the fighters jumped and his knee happened to hit Sonu’s nose real hard. The pain was quite severe and the X-ray revealed a fracture in Sonu’s nose.Later on Sonu insisted continuing the shooting, but seeing Sonu in pain, Salman called for pack-up and asked Sonu to rest.
The Music Launch Of Hrithik Roshan’s Kites
Kites movie album has five songs whose lyrics have been penned down by Nasir Faraaz and Asif Ali Beg.KK has soulfully rendered two songs namely Zindagi do pal ki and Dil Kyun Yeh Mera. Both the numbers are breezy without any loud jarring influences. Tum bhi Ho Wahi is another number from Kites movie which is groovy with slight western influences. Vishal Dadlani , Suraj Jagan have lent their voices for this number. The song fails to capture listener’s interest and sadly doesn’t live up to expectations.
Kites film in the sky is another song to look out for in this album. Though the song alternates between Spanish and English, it has a calming effect on the nerves. The starting two lines of the song remind one of John Lennon’s melodious numbers “Imagine”. The music is smooth flowing and mesmerizing. The English lines in the song have been sung by none other than Hrithik Roshan which is the surprise part because he does full justice to the song. Considering that he is not a professional singer, his effort is highly commendable.Hritik has only sung for 45 seconds in the song but it’s his voice all the way that catches attention.
Ranbir Kapoor & Sanjay Dutt - Spending Quality Time Together
Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor who shot a soft drink commercial in Mumbai recently have hit it off. Over the last weekend, Ranbir, who says he has grown up watching Sanjay’s films, went over to Imperial Heights for dinner. And at his behest, Maanyata Dutt made khichda (a mutton speciality). Then the boys (yeah, Sanju is 51 but he often behaves like a boy) ate, drank and made merry till the wee hours of the morning. These two who have been wanting to do a film together for the longest time (remember all those premature stories of how Raj Kapoor’s grandson would work with Nargis’ son were floated) are still in the hope that someone will sign them together. PS: Maanyata is a huge Ranbir fan. Oh God, the film industry and their sycophancy!

Katrina Kaif Injured Because Of Akshay Kumar
This one is to worry about. During the shoot of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar were romancing in a sexy song sequence. As the lady jigged towards onscreen love Akshay Kumar, the actor’s jaw-struck Katrina’s head and she started to bleed. Seeing blood coming out of her head, the actress began to feel giddy. And co-star Akshay added to her woes, saying that she would now need a minimum of 4 stitches on her head.
However, when a scared Katrina started to cry, Akshay laughingly said that he was pulling her leg. The injury was a minor one and it didn’t stall the shoot but the actress was shaken. On top of it, Akshay’s prank was scary for the beauty. “Katrina did injure herself on the head, but she’s fine now and has resumed shooting,” a source said.Katrina has been a bundle of nerves for quite some time now and has been falling ill frequently. Recently, she passed off on a film set and accused the media for pestering her. Here is a hope that the fragile beauty regains her strength and keeps delivering hits one after the other.

Why Aarya Babbar got embarrassed on ‘Tees Maar Khan’ sets?
Aarya Babbar, who is currently shooting for Farah Khan’s “Tees Maar Khan”, was so excited on the first day of shoot that he performed an entire scene without even any instruction from the director.Aarya had a scene with 40 villagers, but he was so excited to be shooting with Khan that he started performing even before she could say action.“I was very excited to give my first shot for Farah. My scene went off great and everyone clapped and I had a sigh of relief that it was a good start… then I saw Farah walking towards me and she said ‘I didn’t even say action, sweetheart!’“In my excitement, I didn’t even realise if Farah said action or not. I was so embarrassed,” said the actor.Aarya has been part of films like “Guru” and “Jail”, among others.
‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ songs have no retention value (Music Review)
Film: “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai”
Music Directors: Sajid-Wajid
Lyricist: Sameer
Singers: Rashid Ali, Sonu Niigaam, Soumya Raoh, Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan
Rating: **
It’s high time composer duo Sajid-Wajid tried something fresh. The two experimented in “Veer” and tried to move away from their signature style, but they are back to their usual stuff in “Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai”. The soundtrack has no retention value and doesn’t have the potential to stand out.The album offers four originals and two remixes. It opens with “Keh do zara this” with Rashid Ali behind the mike. The song is an amalgamation of English and Hindi lyrics. It would have made a better impact on the listeners if the lyrics had been written in one language. The love ballad fails to generate interest. Its remixed version is faster in pace, but has nothing extraordinary.“Nacha main tere naal” is a predictable Punjabi dance number. Sung by Sonu Niigaam and Soumya Raoh, the fast- paced song gives you a sense of deja vu since one has heard many such songs in the past. You can hear it once.Next is the title track crooned by Shaan in his soft, melodious voice. The foot-tapping, fast-paced number manages to create an impact thanks to western arrangements. The remix version is average. Finally, the album concludes with “Koi rok bhi lo”, a romantic track effectively sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Sonu. The slow-paced song is the best offering of the album. The orchestration and the brilliantly given vocals give the song an edge.On the whole, the album has nothing new to offer.
My directorial debut will be quirky comedy – Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi, who has juggled roles as choreographer, actor and producer in over a decade in Bollywood, wants to do more dark roles. He also plans to direct a “quirky, action comedy”, something like British filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s movies.“My next step will be direction. I am working on a script,” Arshad told IANS in an interview. “The film will be a quirky, action comedy. It will be a Guy Ritchie kind of film with effective one-liners and stuff.”But before venturing into direction he wants to wrap up all his commitments.“At the moment I have many commitments to fulfil and projects to finish. Once I’m done with that and I get enough time, I will get into direction. May be middle or end of next year, I will divert my focus to direction,” he said.Arshad turned producer with the recently released “Hum, Tum Aur Ghost”. He played the lead in the film that also starred Boman Irani and Dia Mirza. It was directed by Kabir Kaushik of “Sehar” fame. When asked about his experience as producer, the 41-year-old said: “I’m happy because I was with the people I loved. All my co-stars in the film were my friends, they are brilliant actors, wonderful people and we had similar sensibilities.“We were making a film that all of us related to. So we were happy doing it and this happiness was worth a lot,” he added.Arshad began his career as choreographer and then made his debut as an actor with Amitabh Bachchan’s ABCL’s first venture “Tere Mere Sapne” in 1996. After the film’s success, he acted in several other movies, but most of them failed to set cash registers ringing.Lady luck smiled on the actor in 2003 when he featured in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s “Munnabhai M.B.B.S” as Circuit alongside Sanjay Dutt. The comedy not only was a huge box office success, it also fetched him much critical acclaim. Later he was seen in several successful movies such as “Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya”, “Golmaal”, “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, “Golmaal Returns”.He also wowed the audiences with his performance in action crime drama “Sehar”.After the success of “Munnabhai…”, Arshad, who is married to ex-MTV VJ Maria Goretti, was mostly seen in comic capers. But the actor says he is planning to shift his attention to serious cinema soon. Recently he proved his worth in Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Ishqiya” – from critics to movie buffs, everyone raved about his performance.“My roles in films like ‘Sehar’ is what I really like and I would be doing something other than comedy very soon. There is a dark film that I will be doing. It’s a hardcore cop role in an issue based film. I will start working on it, probably by July,” said Arshad during his recent visit to the capital.Other than this, Arshad will be seen in the sequel “Shortkut 2: The Con is Back”.
